I sing the song that has been sung before,
by someone I have never met,
it is a universal song of love.
Have you heard it before,
in the songs of the sea,
from the mouths of whales?
Maybe some flowers sang it to you
when you were not listening?
They are so quiet.
What about the bees,
it could have been the bees.
We only notice their honey.
I don't know who sang it first,
but maybe the earth is singing a song,
a universal song of love.
