Last evening, I decided to sit in a different place during my walk with Baby Girl, my little kitty. We chose a south facing view. As I was sitting, there were birds flying on and off the high wires. Then, one bird came to roost and its shape was a little bit different. And its bottom was very fluffy! I walked over to the side and saw that its head was also very different, from below. Well, imagine my surprise when it turned to look down at me and it was a young Owl! I did not have a camera with me, but below is a photo of a Spotted Owl that looks just like the one I saw. Barred Owls look similar to Spotted Owls, but they are more aggressive. sadly, too, the Barred Owls are taking over the habitats of the Spotted Owl.
This little Owl was very cute. I was talking to it and she just looked and looked at me. Little Miss Owl flew away to the side pole after a while, but kept looking at me.
