Merman and Mermaid

Merman and Mermaid

We will sleep in the water,
Dolphins and whales serenade us,
We rock softly in the waves,
Angels kiss us

on the brows,
Bestowing gifts as we sleep,
We wake to joyous harp and violin.
A Symphony

of the Sea,
Conducted by the head merman.
The mermaids dance on the waves

For us.
Kindly showing us
how it is done,
The water dance.

We are invited below the waves,
For one night,
We are merman and mermaid.

We swim hand in hand,
Following our guide,
To the ocean deep.

We visit Neptune, the sea god.
The water nymphs serve us tea and cake
In the underwater cafe.
Somehow,  it is not bad at all!

To my surprise,
Cake made of fish is delightful.
And coffee made of seaweed is tasty, too.
We promise to come back in June.

We see the great barrier reef,
Its wonderous teaming life.
We get to know the schools of fish

And their nuances.
The coral and
Their mating practises,
Are a sight to see.

We see Seal and Penguin.
Every creature in the
great Southern oceans.
Next time,
we will see their Northern cousins.
